Madi Pointer, MSW, LSW
Hi, I’m Madi, a Licensed Social Worker passionate about helping individuals navigate addiction, substance use, and co-occurring mental health challenges.
I believe meaningful change happens when we look beyond symptoms and explore the whole person. My approach is rooted in understanding the biological, psychological, social, spiritual, and environmental factors that shape who you are and how you move through the world.
Rather than focusing solely on the behaviors that bring someone to therapy, I strive to uncover the underlying patterns, experiences, and unmet needs that may be driving them. Healing often begins when we address the root causes, not just the surface-level struggles.
My work integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Together, we may explore your values and sense of purpose, build practical coping and emotional regulation skills, and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that keep you feeling stuck.
Clients often describe me as both direct and empathetic. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel genuinely understood while also being challenged to grow. My goal is to help you build insight, develop effective tools, and create lasting change that aligns with your values.
You don’t have to navigate it alone. I’m here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
