Morgan Madriz

Hi, I’m Morgan, a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern passionate about helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and life transitions. I’m particularly drawn to supporting women through seasons of change, including pregnancy, motherhood, shifting identity, and the challenge of balancing their own needs with the needs of others.

Before beginning my work as a therapist, I spent nearly three years working in inpatient psychiatry, supporting people through some of the most difficult and vulnerable moments of their lives. That experience shaped a belief that continues to guide my work: you are more than your symptoms, diagnosis, or circumstances. I want to understand the whole person—your experiences, relationships, strengths, values, and the patterns that have shaped where you are today.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help you better understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building practical skills for managing everyday life.

Therapy with me may involve working through painful experiences, setting healthier boundaries, quieting an overactive mind, navigating a major transition, or reconnecting with parts of yourself that have gotten lost along the way. I believe therapy should be a space where you can express yourself honestly, without judgment, while also receiving the support and gentle challenge needed to grow.

My goal isn’t to help you become someone different. It’s to help you understand yourself more deeply, recognize what you need, and create changes that feel sustainable and meaningful in your life.

You don’t have to carry everything on your own. I’m here to meet you where you are and walk alongside you as you move forward.
